Chapter 1, Page 26, Book 19

In case of doubt, push on just a little further and then keep on pushing.

George Patton

January 26th- push through, push hard

Most of us follow our conscience as we follow a wheelbarrow.  We push it in front of us in the direction we want to go.

Billy Graham

PUSH is an acronym that stands for:

Pray
until
something
happen

We all need a little push every now and then.  A push helps to keep us motivated  or to make the changes we need in our lives.  During times when life is tough we may need a little push to give us more energy to move and tackle the things we don’t want to do.

I figure we should try to be our best, better than what we were yesterday, so I keep on pushing a little bit more every day.  We all have to keep moving forward.

Laziness or procrastination won’t get us anywhere.  There is a story about a king in ancient times who had his men place a boulder on a roadway.  He then hid in the bushes, and watch to see if any would move the boulder out of the way.  Some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers passed by and simply walked around it.

Many blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none of them did any thing about getting the stone removed. One day a peasant came long carrying vegetables. Upon approaching thee boulder,  he laid down his burden and tried to push the stone out of the way.  After much pushing and straining, he finally managed.

After the peasant went back to pick up his vegetables, he noticed a purse lying on the road where the boulder had been.  The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King to explain that gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the road.

There is a reward when you keep on pushing.  It may not be easy, but it is the best way.

Every morning I wake up saying, I’m alive — a miracle, so I keep pushing.

Jack Cousteau

Just keeping pushing forward is so true indeed! We don't know what reward may be at the end of all of our pushing!

That is a great fable! Unfortunately, its storyline isn't all that different than some people who have a "that's not my job" attitude. It's ALL of our responsibility.

Myra pointed out a problem of today, 'That is not my job!' But many make that their choice in life to keep pushing. I want to be known for that after I am gone, so I want to get things done and when I am gone someone will say he died trying!
Great advice from such a young lady. ;-)

As long as we chose to push in the right way!

I always push forward-even when I don't want to...because the rewards come along the road we are pushing down. I think this can really apply to health issues where we think we just can't go one more day and yet we push through and are glad we did.

Great post!!!!xo Diana

It's so easy to get discouraged when there's a boulder in our path, but we just need to push on. Take care and keep cozy!
