Chapter 1, Page 2, Book 19

Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.

Opera Winfrey

January 2nd - Hope

Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come whispering, It will be happier.

Alfred Lord Tennyson

One thing I know for sure is that life is what you make it.  You can either be sad or happy, it’s our choice.  We can love what we have or complain about what we don’t have.

Happiness is an inside job.  We choose to be happy no matter what our circumstances.  It will be a great new year if we make it so.

Hope, like the gleaming taper’s light
Adorns and cheers oor way
And still, as darker grows the night
Emits a brighter ray.

Oliver Goldsmith

The light of hope outshines most any other.. there is a brighter light at the end of the tunnel. Hope is a glimmer of light to guide us:  it shines bright as a beacon.  I don’t have all the answers, but I always have hope.

When we walk to the edge of all the light we have to take a step into the darkness of the unknown, we must believe that one of two things will happen.  There will be something solid for us to stand on or we will be taught to fly.

Patrick Oerton

On a side note:  I wanted to let you know there seems to have been some changes in blogger New Year Day.  I found that a couple of peoples accounts did not let me comment because I don’t have a google identity, so if you do not see my comments that is why.

Yeah, I too have had that problem. I seem to think it has to do with google+. I go to sigh up for the + and get a warning of some kind so I back away. Maybe I can figure it out as the year progresses.
I have not satisfied my problem of e-mail msg for comments. I go back two or three entries to check the comments, but if someone chances across one a week old or older I will NEVER know they commented. Oh well. we will make do in 2019, at one time I never expected to even see the number ttached to a year. hahahaha
Love from FloridA, MOVING DAY!

I read some place that Google was going to do away with Google Plus so I wonder if that was the problem? I haven't experienced it on any blogs I have tried to comment. Maybe it will take a few days to work out the problems.

It is good to have the new year to think about things, reflect how the last year went and then work on what we want to change within ourselves. A good time to keep hoping too!

I don't know what it is about open books, but I'm so taken with that image of the snowy slide!
Sad; now I suspect mine is a casualty of Google's broken hammer. Selfish perhaps, but I always look forward to your comments and encouragement. I'm praying for a relatively-simple solution!

"Snowy swing seat", I mean.

Yay! Your comment is on my post. One thing I've learned is that I have a chance to start over every day, and I try to. Wishes for a very happy and healthy 2019.
