Day 8 - hope in the journey

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.

Albert Einstein

We find hope for today because of tomorrow.  That is not to say we should live in the future, because that would rob us of the present moment.  We wouldn’t appreciate the life we have right now.

However, Advent offers hope of the future, while living right here and right now.  It is hope, above all that gives us strength to live today the best we can.

The Advent journey:  Hope becomes peace. Peace becomes joy, Joy becomes love. Love becomes Christ.

Robert Schuller

Advent is a like a journey toward Christmas.  This journey is 4 weeks long and Hope is only the first step on our Advent journey, tomorrow we’ll move on to the 2nd week of Advent which will be about Peace as we keep the joy of Advent in our hearts.

Three grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.

Joseph Addison

That is so true that we find hope in tomorrow in the todays that we live. We do have that to look forward to as we live out our days.

The quote of Addison about the Grand three, is appropriate just under Three GRANDS who are kings in their own right.
WE sing JOY to the World many times without remembering the true JOY HE has brought to us.

Your grandchildren are the cutest. I wish I had more of mine around only two and they both grown and don't come around that much. I'm flying out to Texas to my youngest son and family for Christmas. Keep me in your prayers.Take care. Jean

That quote by Albert Einstein resonates so! In fact, my blog (Respice, Prospice) supposedly means, "Learn from the past; look to the future."
Your three kings look so cute! I'll bet they had a grand time dressing up!
