Chapter 12, Page 31, Book 18

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And days of auld lang syne.
For Auld Lang Syne, my dear,
 for Auld Lang Syne,
we’’ll take a cup of kindness yet
for Auld Lang Syne.

Robert Burns

December 31st-New Year’s Eve

Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page book.  Write a good one.

Brad Paisley

I count the days, here on my blog, by writing a page day filled with whatever inspiration comes my way.  It may be a poem or a story and of course, lots of quotes.

A new day, a new page until my book is filled with 365 posts.  What I find new and worth sharing each day of the year.  The books are the years, the chapters are the months, the pages are each day of the year.

This year, 2018, was a good one filled with more joys than sorrows for sure.  I’m so thankful each and every one of them.  So I’m closing the book for 2018.  Tomorrow I’ll begin a new one called 2019.   I’m so looking forward to another New Year.

I hope you all have a safe and happy New Year’s Eve

Write it on your heart
that every day is the best day of the year.
He is rich who owns the day, and no one owns the day
who allowed to be invaded with fret and anxiety.

Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day;
begin it all and serenely, with too high a spirt
to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

This new day is too dear,
with its hopes and invitations
to waste a moment on the yesterdays.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

As so often occurs, a particular word or phrase will 'speak' to me. Today, Mr. Emerson's advice: "Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in. Forget them as soon as you can." (Plus, for some reason I'm taken with the word, 'absurd'!)
That open book is a mighty powerful graphic; in fact, I'm borrowing it for today's FB post.

Feeling euphoric!
