Day 23 - Week 4:  It’s a time for Love

Best of all, Christmas means a spirt of love, at time when the love of God and the love our our fellow men should prevail over all hatred and bitterness, a time when our thoughts and dreams and the spirit of our lives manifest the presence of God.

George F. McDougall

This is the fourth Sunday of Advent, tomorrow will be Christmas Eve, and soon Christmas Day will be here!

We’ve been getting ready for four weeks.  Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love prepare us for most anything that comes our way, but especially prepares us for what Christmas is all about.

Love above all, lasts.  Love changes everything. Everything begins with Love.  From the beginning of creation to the end of time, God’s love is everlasting, ever present.

We are reminded to love God, love your neighbor and love yourself.  Love inspires us to give our very best. Love gives us the courage to go beyond what feels comfortable.

Christmas is the happiness that lights our children’s eyes
Christmas is a song of bells ringing through the skies
Christmas is a time of peace, of contentment deep within
A time of love and silent hope that years will never dim.

Sherrill Thompson

The pictures today are of my grandchildren and children as we gathered last year to celebrate Christmas. Two of my sons and their families were missing so as you can see we are a large crowd when we are all together.spreading Christmas cheer and love.

I had not thought of love that way, but it is true.Love the pictures, Crowds are Christmas, and solitude is too. From down here, life is good a cool 51 but the sun is shining and it will climb.
Again, LOVE from Florida...Sherry & jack

So cute with the family pictures! Looks like there is a lot of love there! The world definitely could use a lot more love. It can always start with us loving more!

Gosh, I can't believe a year's gone by since you shared these pictures last. That theme was sure a hoot; and surely will be remembered fondly for the rest of everyone's lives!
To paraphrase Ms. Midler, "I say love, it is a flower, and we, its only seed."
