Day 15 - we all make mistakes

If ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’ were candy and nuts, wouldn't it be a Merry Christmas!

Don Meredith

In these busy days for all of us, I somehow said that today would bring thoughts of Joy your way, in my post yesterday.  I must have thought it was Saturday rather than Friday….I’m not sure, but I don’t like to make excuses.  Truth is we have one more day before we celebrate the 3rd week of Advent which starts tomorrow, on Sunday, the 16th!

So I toss away the if’s and but’s and just say Peace is still on my agenda today. Peace in our hearts, in our lives and in each day.  We all make mistakes and I’m only human, so I’ll be putting that behind and move forward.

No since in hanging on to past mistakes, they only take away the peace of today.

Today is a bridge.  We are two weeks into the Advent season; there are 10 days to go until Christmas.  The most pressing thought at this moment is not what I must do to prepare my house or what gifts to get, but how I’m preparing my heart.  Love is always greater than things. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

A mistake is not a failure.  It is something that goes wrong… and then you fix it.  You never fail until you stop trying

Thankfully, I have another day to make things right.

That last graphic says a bunch. Excuses basically turns out to be 'blame' and I try, I mean I really try not to do the blame game or make excuses. (BUT sometimes I catch myself doing it, even if I don't say it. )
I do a 'pretty good ' job of it. (smile)
How ever if I had a better key board I wouldn't see so many mistakes when I look up at the screen. Yeah, I look at the keyboard a lot. hahahaha
Love and Peace be yours,

Awww, I miss old Dandy Don Meredith. What a cute quote!
More often than not, I have to consult the calendar to realize what day it is. Retirement brain fog? As long as we learn from our mistakes and go about with a cheery countenance, I believe we're ahead of the game!

"Today is a bridge." from the past to the present to the future.

So true that if we are humans, we'll be making mistakes. We do learn from them if we allow ourselves to, like I've mentioned before. I bet you'll check twice which day you are posting about in the future :)
