Chapter 11, Page 6, Book 18

A friend is a gift you give yourself.

Robert Louis Stevenson

Today I’m thankful for friendship

In my friend, I find a second self.

Isabel Norton

Friends are blessings.  Our friends know us, support us and understand us.  Sweet and steady with a friend you can be your self, share your thoughts, your craziness and your dreams.

Friends keep us healthier.  Studies have shown that people with little social contact had higher blood pressure.  Friends help you work through your problems, they listen and give encouragement.  There is nothing like the comfort of a close friend. Friends help you to grow and celebrate life.

Very often my family are my friends and many of my friends are like family.  I also have some online friends that I’ve never met but are very thankful for.

On my thankful list for today:

6496. for the privilege and right to vote
6497. for bake sales, always good
6498. for a day to plan

A true friend is for ever a friend.

One thing I've learned is that to have a good friend, you have to be one.

Exactly! That's a two-way avenue, for sure.
Now, I may not have crowds of friends, but wouldn't take anything for the Real ones who feel like sisters and brothers. My biggest take-away from this is your sentence, "Our friends know us, support us and understand us." Just as I am … no greater gift.

Friends truly are a blessing indeed! We do need them and we do need to be a friend to get through this life. Without their support and love, it would be hard to go through all aspects of life.

Life would be definitely less attractive with out FRIENDs. And the tie goes both ways them for you and you for them. A support system that is fool proof with real friends.

I’m not sure where I’d be without friends.
