Chapter 11, Page 17, Book 18

Among the several kinds of beauty, the eye takes most delight in colors.

Joseph Addison

Today I’m thankful for Color

Every body needs a little color

Mark Herman

I love all colors, but my favorite is red. The color red is associated with meanings of love, passion, desire, heat, romance, joy, strength, courage, vibrance, and determination.  These are aspects that I can relate to and I wear the color proudly.

They say that the first color that humans perceive, after black and white, is red. Red is a powerful and positive color. Red makes us feel more energized.  Red can feel contemporary, traditional, rustic or timeless, depending on the shade.  A touch of red can warm up our lives.

Nature always wears the colors of the spirit.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Red leaves on trees really brighten up a cold and frosty day. Some say
their favorite color is fall.  I would be tempted to agree, but there are so many beautiful colors that makes it impossible.

Color is in each season, in every day of our lives and those who take the time to see the beauty of every day are those that appreciate color most of all.

On my thankful list for today:

6529. for a special day to give thanks
6530. for all the abundance in our lives
6531. for my grandmother who taught me so much

Colors are the smiles of nature.

Leigh Hunt

Celebrate every color of the rainbow. Because life’s too short to live in black and white.

Such great pictures of things red, Ma, including you and your daughter in the pictures. Life certainly would be very dull if it was just black and white colors.

Well, red certainly becomes you! Your coloring is much like my mothers. Unfailingly, her lipstick was always crimson. I'm remembering a recent news story about a color-blind gentleman gifted with special glasses … allowing him to see colors for the very first time. Can you imagine?!

Love to see you in red ma. I love red too - but I never wear red - I don't like it on me too much. I love ed for Christmas and red leaves. And I believe personally that God gives us colors to value him.
