Chapter 11, Page 12, Book 18

Life is not easy for any of us.  But what of that?  We must have perseverance above all, confidence in our selves.  We must believe we are gifted for something, and that thing, at what ever cost, must be attained.

Giving  your all

Today I’m thankful for GIFTS received

Such as I am, I am a precious gift.

Zora Neale Hurston

Someone once said:  We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.  I’ve  received so many gifts that it would take a book to include all of them.  But I thought I’d name a few.  I have the gift of sight, smell, hearing and speaking.  I have the gift of life, of family, friends, and nature too.

Every day is a gift, I try to be thankful for. I was gifted by having a beautiful large family and there’s never a day goes by but that how amazing each one of them is.

Our gifts are meant to be shared and I try to do that every day.  I may not have a lot, but I try to share my gifts with others.  I was gifted with a computer and the ability to use it so I decided to bloom where I was planted.

I write a daily email to family and friends and post two blog entries every day, sharing my gifts, my life, with others.  I do love to give gifts but they are not always the material kind.  Some of the best gifts to give are those of sharing your joy with others,  your love and appreciation, and your attention.

A positive thought, a smile or two, a thoughtful word are precious gifts that don’t cost a cent.  And sharing them with others is my way of showing appreciation for what I have.

To give anything less than your best is to give away the gift.

Steve Prefontaine

They say that every day is a gift, that why we call it the present.  It’s a present we receive and what we do with it is up to us.  How we spend out days is how we spend our lives.

The thing we tend to forget about giving is that when we give, we will get back a joy that is tenfold of what you give.  Give love, give joy, give selflessly, give generously. Give it your all.

Know your gifts and share them.

My thoughts: "YOU are a gift that keeps on giving. I know your family cherish their 'MA'."

Its the small gifts that we often forget about like our senses that bring us the biggest joy. We do need to be appreciative of each and every gift received.

What a great post. I, too, am so very, very grateful for all I have been blessed with. I do make an effort to give back to others- sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail.
Have a wonderful week-I am blessed to have found your blog- that is a gift to me! xo Diana

To bloom where one is planted … of course! I love how you've a way of opening my eyes to (what should be) obvious. I know my every-day would be less bright were it not for your gift of these daily posts. Thank you!

I am a big believer in giving - and it just seems to come back in three-folds. You write the best responses back to my posts. I hope I am sending my response back to the right person! lol You are a delight.
