Chapter 11, Page 11, Book 18

This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave.

Elmer Davis

Today I’m thankful for Life

We live in deeds, not years; in thoughts, not breaths;
In feelings, not figures on a dial.
We should count time by heart throbs.
They most live
Who think most, feel the noblest, act the best.

Philip James Bailey

On Veterans Day, we take time to remember those that gave their all in order to preserve our freedom and protect us.

When I think of courage, my first thought is of the brave men and women who serve my community and my county.  I honor them for their inner strength and power to rise above fear and display amazing courage

Life. as I know it, would not be the same at all without the  generous contributions of our veterans to our country.  I cannot imagine living in a world where war was a constant way of living.  So many have lost so much and I truly have not known that kind of loss.  The loss of freedom to do what they want and worship as they please.

Life is a precious gift and I try never to take mine for granted.  Nor will I take those that have bravely gone before us for granted.

Freedom is never free.

Beautifully put, Pam! Their 'inner strength and power' is admirable … enviable. Sometimes I question if I would have that resolve to rise above my fears. HAPPY SUNDAY!

It does indeed take courage to serve in the military as well as to be first responders. Even in their fear, they still go out and serve. So admirable and appreciative of them all!

Church had the vets to stand and we applauded, they deserve more than that but it was nice.
