Chapter 11, Page 10, Book 18

A smile is nature’s best antidote for discouragement.
It brings rest to the weary.
Sunshine to those who are frowning.
And hope to those who are hopeless and defeated.
A smile is so valuable that it can’t be bought.
Begged, borrowed, or taken away against your will.
You have to be willing to give a smile away
Before it can do anyone else any good.
So if someone is too tired or grumpy to flash you a smile,
Let him have one of yours anyway
Nobody needs a smile as much
As the person who has none to give.

Dale Carnegie

Today I’m thankful for SMILES

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, and honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

Leo Buscaglia

There truly is a lot of power in a smile.  A smile conveys feelings of happiness, hope and positivity to anyone that sees it.  When you smile, you are sending a message to those around your that you are accepted, you are welcome, and all is well.

When we share a smile with others, you can turn someone’s frown into a smile.  Smiling is contagious, similar to a yawn.  By lending a smile, you are reaching out to your fellow man and connecting.  There is nothing like a smile to bring folks closer to each other.

Smile at each other, smile at your wife, smile at your husband, smile at your children, smile at each other —it doesn’t matter who it is —and that will help your grow up in greater love for each other.

Mother Teresa

It’s not easy to always walk around with a smile.  We get caught up in our problems and all the things that happen to us and all around us, that we forget to enjoy ourselves and our lives.  Our enjoyment of life depends largely on how we connect with people and a sincere smile is the best strategy to build and establish a relationship.

Sometimes it’s the smile of another, that makes us remember just how good a smile can feel.

Each time we smile it’s like there is a party going on in our brains. Smiling fights off stress, it not only relaxes our bodies, but smiles can lower our heart rate and blood pressure.  Smiles make us healthier and happier.

On my Thankful list for today:

6508. for all the wonderful people in my life
6509. for left overs
6510. for plenty of ways to keep warm

Don’t forget to smile! A smile can never go out of style for they are the best things you can ever wear.  A smile can brighten your mood, improve your outlook and lead you to make positive choices.  So help yourself and others today and remember to smile.

Smiling is infectious,
you can catch it like the flu
Someone smiled at me today,
And I started smiling too.

A smile costs nothing but is worth a mint to someone who is beat down by life. I live it when I see a bright smile, it makes me smile and does my heart good. ;-) :) ;-)

Smile to you , have a great day.

That Dale Carnegie sure had some pearls of wisdom! I like the thought of a smile being akin to a yawn … also, "like a party going on in our brains." Some may think I'm a little crazy, but I swear there are times I can see my dogs smiling. (Which, of course, makes me smile back at them.)

SMILING your direction!

hugs and smiles make a miserable day better. "Nobody needs a smile as much
As the person who has none to give."
