Chapter 8, Page 21, Book 18

We turn not older with years, but newer every day.

Emily Dickinson

Newer every day !

You can't help getting older, but you don’t have to get old.

George Burns

It’s true, I am not the same person I was yesterday and tomorrow I’ll be a little bit different too.  We change as we grow and grow as we change.

The one constant in our lives is change.  It never stops.  If we don’t change we don’t grow.  Growth happens at a physical, emotional and spiritual levels every moment. Who we are now is not who we were last year, last week, or even a minute ago. We age.

Change makes us more flexible and adaptable.  Change makes us more compassionate.  You grow and learn new things every time something changes.

How we deal with change, how we embrace it, and what we choose to learn from it is up to us.

Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice; but for those who love, time is eternity.

Henry Van Dyke.

So true how we are different every new day. We do learn and grow every single day if we allow ourselves to. And we have the ability to change things we might not like about ourselves if we take the time and effort to do so. We truly are works in progress.

This (post) is such a compliment to the book I'm reading, "Still Me … After All These Years." One excerpt in particular, if I may?
"Your age is just a number. What's important is to embrace who you've becoming. Now. At this age. Not who you were at twenty or thirty or even forty. Allow. Accept. Acknowledge. Adjust. Absolve. Adore."

New beginnings … yes!
