It’s important to set goals because goals give you focus. Setting goals give your life direction and boosts your motivation.
By setting goals we are able to focus on what is important to us. They remind us of what we need to concentrate on. Choosing what is most important in your life and then focusing on that in everything you do gets everything in the right perspective.
Once you place your attention on the what is truly important to you and focus on that everything else seems to fall in place. If your goal doesn’t mean anything to you then it isn’t worth pursuing. Tie your goals to your deeper values that give them more meaning.
