Chapter 7, Page 14, Book 18

Time is too slow for those
who wait, too swift for those
who fear, to long for those
who grieve, too short for
those who rejoice, but for
those who love, time is

Henry VanDyke.

Stop rushing.  There is a time and place for everything

Slow down and celebrate the good in everyone and everything.

Matthew Kelly

We all have the same amount of time in our lives, but it’s what we do with it that counts.  When you stop rushing and slow down, you enjoy life more.  Constant rushing through life makes unable to savor the precious moments of it. Given the fleeting nature of life why waste even a moment by rushing through it.

Fact is that just like the guy that speeds by me and passes me up on the highway, we both wind up sitting at the same red light at the same time.  But one of us enjoyed the ride, the other didn’t.

When you stop rushing through life you will be amazed how much more life you have time for.

There are times I feel the pressure to pack my life full of activity and maximize my time by doing all I can.  We feel as though something bad will happen if we don’t get done.  But there is aways more to be done…it never ends.

Remember,  there is always enough time for the important things in life if we take the time to make the time.

Slow but steady wins the race.

Rushing just makes me feel extra stressed so I try not to especially when trying to get some place. We'll get there eventually even if we are a few minutes late.

Oh Pam - I live with three rushes and one slower like me! How true. I try to get the others to slow down - because when they are in a hurry - they get stressed and when they get stressed they get well not nice! lol sandie

LOL-ing about the other motorists that pass you … only to be stopped at the same traffic light. Ain't it the truth?
I don't always succeed, but have always tried to allow myself more than enough time to be somewhere, so I'm not stressed and irritable.

As Myra says, I don't always succeed, but I try!

I always try to remember and make the point to others, YES WE ALL HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME!

And you are so right, we are passed by folk in a hurry and at the best they get there a couple minutes sometimes seconds ahead of us. The Turtle and the Hare comes to mind!
