Chapter 5, Page 21, Book 18

Brighten Your Corner

We cannot all be famous
or be listed in ‘Who’s Who’
But ever persons, great or small,
has important work to do.

For seldom do we realized
the importance of small deeds,
Or to what degree of greatness
unnoticed kindness leads.

For it’s not the big celebrities
in a world of fame and praise,
But it’s doing unpretentiously
in an undistinguished way.

The work the God assigned to us.
unimportant as it seems,
That makes our task outstanding,
and brings reality to dreams.

So do not sit and idly wish
for wider, new dimensions
where you can put into practice
your many good intentions.

But at the spot God placed you
begin at once to do
Little things to brighten up
the lives surrounding you.

If everybody brightened up
the spot where their standing,
By being more considerate
and a little less demanding.

This dark old world would very soon
eclipse the evening star,
If everybody brightened up
the corner where they are.

Brighten up, lighten up

You can’t change what happened last week
but you can learn from it,
and choose happiness this week.

Anton K. Kressnig

This is a reminder to start off this new week with a SMILE!

It’s Monday…time to sparkle and shine!

Last week was a stressful one, and this week will give us answers to the questions of last week. Trying to face what is to come with a smile, and trusting in God for good reports. Thank you for this post, dear one. I need it to lean on today.
Love to you.

So true how we can't change last week but we can learn from it and everything is always better with a smile!

This poem is great! The first three paragraphs remind me of that (true) story of the lowly-sailor who, largely unnoticed below the flight deck, carefully packed the pilots' parachutes.

Smiling through today's thunderstorms ... Happy Monday!
