Chapter 5, Page 10, Book 18

Being defeated is only a temporary condition; giving up is what makes it permanent.

Marilyn Vos Savant

Set backs are only temporary

There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope.

Bernard Willisms

I always try to remember that nothing lasts forever, this too shall pass. Every thing changes.

Pick yourself yourself up, dust yourself off and survive for another day.

Setbacks can involve the passing of love one, a physical injury, financial hardships  or the loss of a job. In one way or another, I’ve experienced them all.

But life goes on no matter and it’s our attitude toward what happened that makes the difference.

Life was never meant to be easy, but we can choose to give up or we can choose to persevere. Life is too short for regrets, so be prepared to let the negatives go.  Keep moving forward and looks for life’s promises.

In every defeat is a lesson showing you haw to win the victory next time.

Robert Collier

Sobering, this sorority we belong to ... one that no-one wants to join. Still, I'd rather walk among side my sorority sisters than those whose lives were ever sullied.

Your last graphic is wonderful!

"Were NEVER sullied", I meant to say!

I like that thought "hope whispers one more time." That is what we need to do when we want to give up. We have to get back on the horse so to speak and go out there and do our best to persevere.

I am old enough to remember everyone talking about Winston Churchill's famous speech. He was very sick himself, but wanted the English people to see and hear him as Prime Minister during the horrific bombings of London. The speech as I remember it was, "NEVER GIVE UP" repeated a few times before he sat back down. As a kid I remembered that as I heard it on the radio during that dark time of WWII! You are right Never give up!
