Chapter 4, Page 26, Book 18

Don’t hurry.   Don’t worry.  You’re only here for a short visit.  So don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.

Walther Hagen

Worry is the opposite of faith, and it steals our peace.  It physically wears us out and can even make us sick.

Worrying never solves our problems. Worry just leads to more worry.  It doesn’t help other people and it doesn’t help us.  It’s wasted energy.

Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.

Leo Buscaglia

I’ve learned that when I have a problem I cannot fix, when I’ve done my best and it isn’t enough, I have to let it go and let God.

Thankfully I’m not in control of the universe and He can do a much better job of taking care of things than I can.

Just because we can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, or the calm after the storm, it doesn’t mean that it will never come.

Every tomorrow has two handles.  We can take hold of it with the handle of anxiety or the handle of faith.

Henry Ward Beecher.

I've never read that quote on worry by Leo. It's a classic.

I am a worrier. I thought about this just a short time ago and thought that worry has brought nothing but grief in my life over things I can't change or loss of sleep, anxiety, etc. So I'm trying to worry less and trust God more. Its a wsork in progress with some days better than others :)

Your second image is one of my favorites ... so true! (I'd saved it to post on FB my last day on the job ... then figured that might be perceived as 'sour grapes.')

And the third? I was just telling Tom the other day, "God sure knew what He was doing when we didn't get the first two homes we wanted!"

I read that again to Sherry, she had already read it. She said, SO TRUE, but why can't we remember that?

We can some times, but then that human nature pops up when we Ain't looking. LOL
Hope your day was great!

Wonderful reminders. We all have things to worry about or fear, but if we only focus on those things, we will really miss the tings that can bring us joy.

worrying only adds frustration to your day. i'm a worrier.
