Chapter 3, Page 23, Book 18

Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Trying...

That man is blest who does his best and leaves the rest.

Charles F. Deems

The best you can be is being the best you can be.  My  best isn’t going to be your best.  What’s best for others isn’t always best for me either.

I’ve always thought that as long as I was doing anything, I should give it the best I’ve got.  If my best wasn’t in it , then it’s was worth doing at all.  If I try my best to do something, even though I make mistakes, at least I know I gave it a try.

Doing your best is synonymous with living out each and every moment to it’s fullest potential. Doing your best is about putting all your energy into whatever you are currently doing.

If you put your best effort in, then it doesn’t matter if you won or lost.  It’s enough that we live each and every moment with the intention of giving it your all.

You’re not obligated to win.  You’re obligated to keep trying to do the best you can every day.

Marian Wright Edelman

Verygood! We too often judge people for not doing better, but most of us are doing the best we can, we are trying.
I am smiling, Sister Shirl would say to her husband Jim many times, "Honey I am trying!" His retort was always, "You sure are!"

Love from a cool Florida... Stay warm up there in a frosty spring!

Absolutely. Whatever is worth doing is worth doing right... or as right as I'm capable of doing.

i agree with everything you said today. "If you put your best effort in, then it doesn’t matter if you won or lost. "
