Today I’m thankful for humor
A well developed sense of humor is the pole that adds balance to your step as you walk the tightrope of life.
William Arthur Ward
I think we all can agree that humor is a gift. Humor exists all around us, sometimes waiting to be found. Unfortunately, in the seriousness of a heavy moment, or during a stressful event, humor may be missed right at the time it’s needed most.
Whole hearted laughter and mind expanding humor are truly gifts that keep on giving . Our problem won’t disappear, but humor allows us to laugh about our situations, or things that are not really funny. This gives much needed relief, and creates a feeling of being able to handle difficulties in a positive way.
Humor is emotional chaos remembered in tranquillity.
There is nothing better than a good dose of laughter to brighten an awkward situation. Laughter does many things. It reduces stress and boosts the immune system, which helps us fight diseases. Laughter is also a great exerciser. Laughing 100 times provides as much as 15 minutes on an exercise bike, and laughter is great for your mental health. It’s good for reducing stored up negative emotions such as anger, fear and sadness
We all have our trials to deal with, but traveling that difficult road with laughter energizes us, changes our negative emotions and is a wonderful medicine to the soul.
Humor is a whisper from the soul, imploring mind and body to relax, let go and be at peace again.
