Chapter 11, Page 7, Book 17

Anything that annoys you
is teaching you patience.
Anyone who abandons you is teaching you
how to stand up on your own two feet.
Anything that angers you
is teaching you forgiveness and compassion.
Anything that has power over you
is teaching you how to take your power back.
Anything you hate
is teaching you unconditional love.
Anything you fear
is teaching you courage to overcome your fear.
Anything you can’t control
is teaching you, how to let go

Today I’m thankful for lessons learned

May we never let the things we can't have, or don't have, or shouldn't have, spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have. As we value our happiness let us not forget it, for one of the greatest lessons in life is learning to be happy without the things we cannot or should not have.

Richard L. Evans

There are so many great lessons we can all learn from life and I believe one of the greatest and perhaps one of the simplest lessons in life we can
learn is to be thankful for what we have already received and accomplished.

What you focus on expands and what you resist, not only does it persist, but it also grows in size. And if you want to shrink something and make it disappear from your life, you need to stop feeding it by fighting against it.

Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

If you think life is unfair, and that bad thing always happen to you, chances are that life will treat you unfairly, and you will always have many reasons to complain about.  Because just how there is a law of gravity, there is also a law of attraction, and based on this law, you attract in your life that which you think about all day long, you attract that which you are, because you see, like attracts like.

In this age, which believes that there is a short cut to everything, the greatest lesson to be learned is that the most difficult way is, in the long run, the easiest.

Henry Miller

It's up to us whether we choose to focus our attention on the negative or on the positive. Focus your attention on the many great things you have and you are grateful for, and you will see that the more you do that, the more reasons you will have to express your gratitude for.

Everything that happens is either a blessing, which is also a lesson, or a lesson which is also a blessing.

So true to try to stay positive and grateful during all the times of our lives. Lessons indeed can be learned during the tough times of life too.

Yep if you expect things to go against you you can bet on it happening, and you have a lot to complain about. There are folks I know that enjoy complaining I am most positive that is the case.
But wishing you the best from Florida where we are having beautiful weather.

focusing on the little things can make a big difference if we stay positive. "Anything you can’t control is teaching you, how to let go."

A positive outlook helps keep you young. Even young people with a negative outlook seem ancient to me.

I love your opening poem and it is so true. It's easy to be faced with adversity and swerve off into the weeds. It's really life, giving you an opportunity to grow.
