There are no mistakes or failures, only lessons.

Today I’m thankful for mistakes
Mistakes are a great educator when one is honest enough to admit them and willing to learn from them.

Life has so many uncertainties and variables that mistakes are inevitable. With every mistake that we make we discover more and more about ourselves, about who we are, about our limits, about our capabilities, about what we can and cannot do.
With every mistake that we make, we learn how important it is to forgive ourself and also many of the people around us. We need to understand that we are not perfect and that perfection doesn’t really exist, only our intentions of doing our best.
You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space.
Johnny Cash
Life isn’t about avoiding mistakes but rather embracing the idea that mistakes will come your way and be willing to learn from these mistakes. And I can tell you, from experience, the lessons will be repeated until learned. Making the same mistake over and over means we are missing the lesson life is attempting to teach us. But when we understand and learn from our mistakes and move forward armed with this knowledge, we are one step closer to learning whatever it is we are attempting to accomplish.
Mistakes can remind us how we are like others. Make us more humble. Help us rectify injustices in our lives. Show us where to create more balance in our lives and even tell us when the time to move on has occurred.
The value of action is that we make mistakes; mistakes show us what we need to learn.

I think as long as we learn from our mistakes, it is a "good" thing we make them. If we keep making the same mistakes over and over again, then we really need to evaluate why we are prone to do so.
