The internet gives me plenty of reasons to be thankful. First and foremost it enables me to keep in touch with my family and friends. It saves me lots of money too, as I now read my favorite magazines and newspapers on line. The internet is a fount of knowledge and I can find information on just about anything.
Being able to blog and keep a daily record of my thoughts is is another great benefit of the internet. I’ve met so many new friends on blogger and am very thankful for them. I’ve been able to see parts of the world I’d never been able to see otherwise.
The internet had brought back the art of letter writing. Emails flow back and forth as we continue to keep in touch with other Although we pay for an internet connection, we no longer buy the amount of postage stamps that used to. Thanks to the internet we can even pay our bills on line.
It no longer takes days and days for news to reach us. Almost instantly we can know what’s going around us. Both in the world and in our families it only takes a minute to catch up on what’s happening.
The internet even allows me to view TV. When I first moved here last March I was told that there were too many trees blocking a good TV connection with Satellite, but thanks to the internet I can watch TV by streaming my favorite shows. The internet provided by our telephone company enables me to watch whatever I want too.
There is always something to be thankful for.

Thankful for all the connections I've made via the internet, including this one.
I agree there is a lot of good that comes from technology. However, I see all the kids and parents on cell phones - but there are never any calls - it is all texts - and I think communication is gone with the wind!
A very good Thanksgiving post MA. I am in agreement with Bill Gates quote. It is not personal, but it is definitely communications.
Today I am thankful I can read this blog entry. YES!
When I dare to remember what my life was like before the internet (not that long ago) a part of me wants to weep.
Oh my goodness, the missed opportunities ... particularly, the friendships that would never have been! So very blessed!
The internet is something to be thankful for for sure. "A journey of a thousand sites begins with a single click. "
