It takes hands to build a house, but only hearts can build a home.

Chapter 11, Page 16, Book 17

There's something in a simple hug
That always warms the heart,
It welcomes us back home
And makes it easier to part….

Today I’m thankful for hugs

A hug is a great gift — one size fits all, and it's easy to exchange.

Embrace the day and every one else.  Hugs are heathy. There’s a reason why a great, big warm hug from a loved one makes us feel peaceful. Scientists have observed that when external pressure is applied over a large portion of our body, as in a big hug, it triggers a part of our nervous system, and that helps decrease our stress levels. And the good news is that the giver of a hug receives just as much benefit as the receiver.

You can't wrap love in a box, but you can wrap a person in a hug.

Hugging can be described as a handshake from the heart.  It’s difficult to imagine a more readily available, cheeper and more effective use for negative energy than a hug.

A hugs only takes 10 seconds, but the benefits last forever.  Hugs can completely change our outlook on a situation sand sometimes our entire outlook on life.

A hug delights and warms and charms,
that must be why God gave us arms.

If you live alone like I do you come to realize just how much a hug can mean so I try to get as many as I can when I’m with my family.  Some people are natural huggers and some are not, but the very best hugs come from the heart and you can tell when they’re not.

Hugging has no unpleasant side effects and is all natural.  There are no batteries to replace, it's inflation proof and nonfattening with no monthly payments.  It's nontaxable, nonpolluting, and is, of course, fully refundable.

Anyone who has ever been the mutual recipient of a heart hug will know that there is simply nothing like it! It relaxes your being, nurtures your soul and nourishes your nervous system.  Hearts are a symbol of love and life and we all have one!

An embrace from one open heart to another that wants nothing in return but to feel the connection of Love.

Never wait until tomorrow to hug someone you could hug today,
because when you give one, you get one right back your way.

A hug can mean so much, but is often so much needed. Grandson is starting to give hugs and its the best feeling to get one :)

Hugs are the way to go :) Nothing like a hug to make you feel loved.

I miss the hugs I used to get - sad but the older I get - the less hugs I get.

Nothing in the world like a hug to make you feel better. "Hugging can be described as a handshake from the heart."

"A handshake from the heart" ... I love that thought!
Funny, I was mentally rehearsing/outlining thoughts this morning for my next post, and was remembering a sweet hug from a stranger. I've no doubt my parents loved me, but they were largely undemonstrative. Maybe that makes me more appreciative? I dunno, but I love getting and giving hugs!

There's too much Facebooking and not enough hugging these days.
