Chapter 11, Page 12, Book 17

Forgiveness is a funny thing. It warms the heart and cools the sting.

William Arthur Ward

Today I’m thankful for forgiveness

Love is an act of endless forgiveness, a tender look which becomes a habit.

Peter Ustinov

Forgiveness is a decision to let go of bitterness and resentment towards another person or situation. It’s letting go of the negative feelings and removing the focus and attention to the unwanted. When you change the direction of your focus, the direction of your life changes too.

Forgiveness can be one of the most difficult concepts to grasp and one of the most rewarding gifts to give

Forgiveness is a gift of high value. Yet it costs nothing.

Betty Smith

Forgiveness is a gift for the giver and the receiver.  It’s helpful to remember that offences and injuries are always bottled in our past. So, forgiveness requires us to deal with our past, not our present or future. We have to let go of our past in order to fill up the present and bless the future.

It does not mean I condone what happened, I simply choose to let it go. Forgiveness is a choice and a decision we all have to make at one time or another.  It’s up to us.

One thing you will probably remember well is any time you forgive and forget.

Franklin P. Jones

Good to always forgive, not necessarily forget but choose to move on.

This is a wise entry. I have also learned there are negative 'haters'. You forgive and invite them back, they do the same thing again. Forgive and move on as Betty said is a good policy. I do not carry a grudge, but I do avoid contact.

I agree with Betty too, I forgive but rarely forget.

I work on learning to forgive. Even at this point in my life there are times it's difficult to do, but necessary for my peace of mind.

forgiving is important, but so is remembering. "When you change the direction of your focus, the direction of your life changes too."
