Chapter 10, Page 28, Book 17

Time is your treasure.

J. M. Colter

For what is more precious than time?

To some degree, you control your life by controlling your time

Conrad Hilton

Many people today complain that they constantly don’t have enough time. They are so busy that they don’t have time for their families, work tasks, kids, friends, etc. At the same time, there are lots of people who have the same number of responsibilities or even more, but they manage to do everything in time and still find a couple of hours to relax and do what they like.

Truth is we waste a lot of time complaining.  It’s better to stop complaining and start doing.  Complaining is a waste of your precious time.  If you have time to whine and complain about something then you have the time to do something

You will never find time for anything. If you want time you must make it.

Charles Buxton

Planning is the key to success. If your days are not organized, you lose a lot of time on deciding what to do next, choosing which task to start with, procrastinating, etc. Make a to do list every day and before going to sleep, check if you managed to do everything. If you can, plan your day by hours. Then you won’t forget anything; you’ll do everything in time and procrastinate less.

The problem is not that we have too many ways to waste time, but that we choose to waste it.  If you don’t know where you are going to, you make a lot of detours and stops. Having a clear goal in your head can help you move faster towards it. Remember to start small, but think big.

Contrary to what you may tell yourself, you have all the time in the world to do whatever you choose.

Paul Wilson

So true! I know back when I worked full time, had 3 children at home, and took care of my parents I stayed super organized and always had time. I accomplished way more in a day than I do in a week these days!

So true we all have the same hours in any given day but some are always late and others are more organized. Having a plan is a good one indeed along with the to do list. My days are so routine here that I can pretty much get everything done that I need to, but I do know I do spend more time on the computer than I should.

Funny. M-F, from the time my feet hit the floor I can practically tell you what time it is without consulting a clock. So much to do, by rote. Unfortunately, on my days off I'm apt to behave like that feather in the movie, Forrest Gump. Once I retire, I'm definitely going to have to set a schedule for myself!

Controlling your time gives you more of it. "It’s better to stop complaining and start doing. "

That Paul Wilson is absolutely right, even though most of us do not believe it until we THINK a little.
