Chapter 10, Page 13, Book 17

Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.

John Quincy Adams

Patience is a gift. Patience is the main ingredient necessary to get through difficult times. Yes, it’s hard to be patient! But, without patience, you would have no hope.

The days of our lives, for all of us, are numbered. We know that. And, yes, there are certainly times when we aren't able to muster as much strength and patience as we would like. It's called being human.

Elizabeth Edwards

This year has been one that has tested my patience over an over again, I’ve played they waiting game and just maybe in some small way, I may have won.

Anyone can live sweetly, patiently, lovingly, purely, till the sun goes down. And this is all life really means.

Robert Louis Stevenson

Being patient when you want answers now, is the hardest thing ever.  Being patient while you watch a loved one sick and in pain just breaks you heart over and over.  Being patient when nothing seems to be going right at all often brings some discouragement and tears.  But the good news is that we have the God given power to be patient, to trust that all things work together for the good according to His purpose.

He that can have patience can have what he will.

Benjamin Franklin

When we come to the end of our patience, it’s good to remember that nothing lasts forever and this too shall pass.  I have been patient and learned the lesson well:  nothing good ever comes easily.

It’s easy to forget and very hard to remember but we will get through this, moving forward one step at a time.

Have courage for the great sorrows of life, and patience for the small ones. When you have laboriously accomplished your daily tasks, go to sleep in peace. God is awake.

Victor Hugo

It is hard to be patient especially when you see things not getting better but worse, but that is when faith comes into play.

A piece of embroidery that my mother made hung in her kitchen for many years. She did it when she was going through some really bad medical issues, and it said, "This too shall pass." I don't know what ever happened to that hanging, but thanks for reminding me of it.

As for patience, she used to say, "Patience is a virtue; keep it if you can. Seldom found in women, and never found in men." :)

So true ... nothing good ever comes easily. After 15 years together, I'm coming around to my boss' way of thinking (that), "Everything happens for a reason."

patience is a virtue for sure. "The days of our lives, for all of us, are numbered. "
