Listen! the wind is rising,
and the air is wild with leaves,
We have had our summer evenings,
now for October eves!
this year is fast fleeting
When you live in the moment, you get a momentous life !
momentous - of great importance or significance, especially in having a bearing on future events.
October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came,—
The Ashes, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The sunshine spread a carpet,
And every thing was grand;
Miss Weather led the dancing;
Professor Wind, the band....
The sight was like a rainbow
New-fallen from the sky….
There is no doubt about it...the winds of time are blowing. Leaves are falling to the ground, just like our moments in time, they are small deposits of memories that are golden.
Each day’s moments become precious memories and it’s up to us to make sure we have golden ones. Every day is one to celebrate. Summer , Fall, Winter and Spring bring us some wonderful excuses to be happy and enjoy each moment.
For man, autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering together. For nature, it is a time of sowing, of scattering abroad.
Edwin Way Teale
Just as a golden necklace is made from many small links, all perfectly interlocked, my life is formed from days, years, and decades of interconnected moments. Will these moments be forged from fear or crafted by love?
When I choose love, my life becomes a precious chain of golden moments.
The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry’s cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.
The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old fashioned,
I’ll put a trinket on.
