Life is magic, the way nature works seems to be quite magical.
Find the magic that's around you.
Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountain and the sea, are excellent schoolmasters, and teach some of us more than we can ever learn from books.
We’ve had some cooler nights and days and here and the leaves are starting to change. One day it was hot and the air conditioning was on, then suddenly fall arrived. Not officially of course, but still it came. We will have a few warmer days ahead they say, Monday we’re to be in the 80’s. Slowly but surely we are cooling down, the days are getting shorter and the night longer and the view from my window will change. Like magic.
Change is a constant in life, nothing ever stays the same. This fall differs from last fall as with all the seasons. Nothing ever remains the same.
Summer ends, and Autumn comes, and he who would have it otherwise would have high tide always and a full moon every night; and thus he would never know the rhythms that are at the heart of life.
As the seasons change so do we. I encourage everyone to begin this new season of the year embracing change. Leaves will wither away, and the breeze will blow colder, but don't be afraid to accept the changes that life has to offer. When we harp and hold on to the past or what was, can we ever move forward and love the life we live. Embrace the seasons because although some things pass away, there are many more memories to be shared and experiences to be had.
Each season, and every chapter of our lives, has its gifts. Every season has its magic.
For man, autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering together. For nature, it is a time of sowing, of scattering abroad.
