Chapter 8, Page 24-25, Book 17

Life is like a blanket too short.  You pull it up and your toes rebel, you yank it down and shivers meander about your shoulder; but cheerful folks manage to draw their knees up and pass a very comfortable night.

adjusting to life

Happiness comes from..some curious adjustment to life.

Hugh Walpole

Due to technical difficulties I didn’t get to make post yesterday.  My internet was having a moment??? Hopefully today’s efforts will be successful.    While I don't seem to be able to be able to add pictures, We'll give this a try.

Change is part of everyone's life. It can mean anything from moving to a new place, having a major life event upset your life, or dealing with a relationship. Learning to adjust to changes helps you feel more in charge and confident in your life.

Change is everywhere and it happens, whether we want it or not. Some people welcome the new change and find the new ways to turn the unexpected into a chance for growth and development, while others may become frightened and react negatively.
You can’t change the past, but you can make adjustments in your present for a better future.

A person who can accept change and adjust to life is the one who is able to focus the mind in new directions and make choices based on the outcome.  Your circumstances may be challenging, but blaming them is not the solution. Nor is neglecting them.

Any change that occurs in your life, also affects those around you. Change happens for a reason, and the faster you are able to adapt and move on, the better it will be for you and those around you.  Real change is an inside job. You might adjust things a day or two with money and systems, but the heart of the matter is and always will be, the matter of the heart.

Life is a series of adjustments; You can make changes along the way, but if you dodn't start moving forward you'll never get anywhere!

Did wonder where you were yesterday, Ma. So true about change. I am reluctant to change, but try to embrace it when it comes.

G'morning Ma ... It's GOOD to 'see' you and realize your only difficulties were computer-related.
I do resist/fear change. Discomfort in one's situation is still, in a way, comforting. (Does that make sense?) Nevertheless, I'm trying!

Yep we all miss you when there isn't a daily post. Glad you are back on. You are one of the folk who understand the remote type of problems we have since when you had the camper you were on as we are. About the pictures, Yep it will come back, mine is off and on.

Anyway as always I enjoyed the visit.
