Chapter 7, Page 3, Book 17

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we’re here we should dance.

Author Unknown

There are no short cuts.  Most things worth doing are difficult.

Expect the best, plan for the worst and prepare to be surprised.

Dennis Waitley

Life is not perfect and it isn’t always going to be the party you want.  That doesn’t mean we cannot enjoy life to its fullest.  If you are not happy with what you have, you’ll never be happy with what you get.

We can make a conscious choice to be happy.  Life is not going to be the party we’d hoped for, but while we are here, we might as dance.  Enjoy what you have today, not what you might get tomorrow.  It’s not what we have, but how much we enjoy that makes happiness happen.

I try to remember to enjoy what I have because this too will end and I will miss it.  So slow down, look around and don’t just go through the motions. Appreciate the moments that seem unimportant or irritating because they too are a part of life and will end and for one reason or another, you will miss it.

When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor.  It’s to enjoy each step along the way.

Wayne Dyer

I like dancing with my little grandson. It is good to slow down and indeed enjoy life.

As we age we learn more about life, some of us decide to dance late, when we realize this is the party. WE ARE HERE! I have enjoyed this visit, a good read!

Ahhh that Betty above, GRANDMAS are so silly! (Right MA!) LOL I tell my son that about grandpas, since he is one now and completely silly about that new grandson!

Love the first 7 words of Dennis Waitley's quote! (... but gotta steel myself for the rest. LOL!)
You're so right -- whatever our present circumstances, it's a good bet sooner or later I'm going to miss this.

alot of good quotes in here today. life is the sum of all our choices. "There are no short cuts. Most things worth doing are difficult."

Good advice! We are always wanting the grass over in the other pasture!
