Recipe for Christmas Peace

1 cup of friendship
1/2 cup of hope
2 cups of love
5 tbsp of respect
1/2 cup of kindness
1 cup of joy
3 tsp of understanding
1 1/2 cups honesty

Mix friendship, love, and kindness in a large bowl. Add understanding a few drops at a time. Then stir in honesty and joy for good firm dough. Sprinkle half of respect over it and mix well.

Pour into a cake pan and bake at 350°F. When it is ready pour the hope and the rest of respect on top and share with everyone you know.

Peace does include a mixture of friendship, love and kindness.  When we add honesty, joy and respect we find our way to peace, not only for ourselves but for others too.  Today I’m going to share some thoughts on PEACE of mind.

I’ve discover that Peace of mind transpires and thrives when you let go of the things that limit your growth and happiness.  You create your state of mind by the things you do, and you cement that by the things you tell yourself.

Keep in mind that you work for this peace every time you give up.

Give up regrets. Be done with these old regrets; they’re just an excuse for people who have failed, and failing only happens if you learn nothing and give up.

Give up hate.  Throughout your lifetime people will make you mad, disrespect you and treat you bad.  Don’t make any space in your heart to hate them.  Simply walk away, because any bit of time you spend on them will be wasted, and any bit of hate in your heart will only hurt you.

Give up negative thoughts. Try not to obsess over the negative news; learn from it and use your knowledge to work your way eagerly toward a brighter tomorrow.  Life does get better and better when you choose to make it so.

Give up on doing the same old same old.  Changes are going to come; you can’t help that.  But it’s what you do afterwards that counts.  That’s when you grow; that’s when you find out who you truly are.

Now is the time to give yourself the greatest gift of all—the peace of mind to let go.

Remember:  Peace is the first thing the angels sang. ! Peace on earth and mercy mild!

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts.
Everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end.
This is my grown up Christmas list.

So true about the angels and what was said. It does take practice and faith, but people can achieve the peace that transcends understanding as they trust in Jesus.

Tall orders, there!
... but each, of course, is so true. I suspect releasing regrets will be my most difficult.

Love that Grown-Up Christmas List ... we were just playing David Foster's CD this morning!

there is no dollar amount you can put on Peace of Mind. Beautiful recipe.
