Chapter 2, Page 5, Book 16

Make room for the essential people and things in life and be done with all the rest

February 5th -  stop holding on to what hurts and make room for what feels good

Every time you subtract a negative from your life, you make more room for a  positive.

Negativity goes hand in hand with selfishness. People that live only for themselves have no higher purpose in their lives. If the whole point of this world is only to take care of yourself and no one else, the road to a long term fulfillment and purpose is going to be a long one.

Positivity accompanies purpose. The most basic way to create purpose and positivity in your life is to begin doing things for others.

Remember: you can control how you feel

It can be so hard to realize this in the heat of an unpleasant encounter, but we always, always have the option to choose the mindset we want to have. No matter what other people say or do or even how they try to make us feel, we have the power to choose the way we look at situations and, importantly, how we react to them

We shouldn’t worry about what negative people may say or think or do. We just have to be happy with ourselves and not waste time let others bring you down.  Life is too short.

Hard as it is sometimes, positivity is always an option. You can choose to let others bring you down or you can choose to bring yourself up,

Dump the negative; make room for the positive.

I like the thought of subtracting something negative to make room for positive. So true too that positivity is always an option. We just need to go there first with our way of thinking I think :)

YES you can level the playing field if you get rid of the negative. I like the statement, "Get rid a negative, it makes room for the positive!"
Sun here after a gully washer last night (but we have few gullies in Florida), so our front door has 3" of water to step in (smile). But thinking positive 3" of water is better than 3" of ice! ;-)

Sending love from a soggy spot!
