Chapter 2, Page 24, Book 16

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I --
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Robert Frost

February 24th - Life at the Crossroads

Stand at the crossroads, and look,
and ask for the ancient paths,
where the good way lies; and walk in it,
and find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

Jeremiah 9:16

A crossroads is about change. Choices must be made not just when things are not working out as we had planned, but also during positive moments when we must choose to continue the course or veer off into something new. At some time in our life we have or will have to choose which path in life we want to take.  It’s good to look both ways before you make the decision, before you cross the road.  Considering where the road you decide upon might lead you.

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

Proverbs 16:9

Some roads are going to lead to poverty and despair.  Others might take you to abundance and joy!  We can take the road of love and forgiveness , or we can go down the winding road of contempt and anger.

It’s our choice.  We are the only ones that can decide which road we want to travel.

I hope you are going my way ...

Travel can be one of the most rewarding forms of introspection.

We have traveled down some interesting roads over the years; some have put us on paths that were different than we expected, but for the most part the roads and journey have been a good one!

Ah, Robert Frost and a line that has stuck in my head since Mrs. Grill's 7th grade. I think that one line marks my life, at least I feel so.
Life's journey is up to us, yes, the decisions make all the difference.

Thanks for such a mind jogger!

This is a beautiful post. Life is full of surprises with a lot of trials but our choices make all the difference.
I love that poem by Frost. It's one of my favorite.
