Chapter 12, Page 5, Book 15

Storms are coming your way. Winds will howl and you will have a choice

Max Lucado

December 5th - we all have a choice

Life is the sum of all your choices.

Albert Camus

The expression 'do not be afraid' is among the Bible’s favorite expressions. When the storm rages, when angels appear, when others persecute us, when all our hopes have died, the Christ who lives in our hearts whispers 'fear not', take heart, I am with you.

The older we get, the more likely we are to need such courage to keep learning, keep growing and on going. The good Lord knows that we’ll require strength from above to raise an issue we’d rather ignore, to challenge ourselves and others to right wrongs, big and small.

The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live.

Flora Whittemore

Just like the little doors you find on Advent Calendars, we each open the door to a new day every day of our lives and what we do with it is our choice.  Every day you can open a door and find incredible new things!

Part of our Advent journey is about learning to hope - learning to imagine what we can't see.

Let no one who loves be called unhappy.  Even love unreturned has its rainbow.

J.M. Barrie

Remember: We can go a lot further together than we can alone.

PS :  We don't really have any snow here yet, but it will come.  Pictures are from last year.

That is unique with the lack of snow this year, but I'm sure you aren't complaining :) I heard on the radio last night Buffalo New York had set a record with not having their usual snow either. So true about how often "Don't be afraid" is in the Bible; words we need to sometimes ingrain in our hearts and minds :)

Tho' I'd be at a loss to (accurately) quote any of those Bible verses ... they've provided such reassurance these last few years!

As a child, I couldn't understand my paternal grandmother's anxiety ... and swore it would never happen to me ... but feeling afraid too many days has become an unwelcome companion.

I choose to be happy. I choose to TRY not to worry. (doesn't always work, but I try!) But we do have a choice, that is for sure...
We are cool here in Florida, but still 75.
