Chapter 11, Page 18, Book 15

Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.

Helen Keller

November 18th - love achieves the impossible

Four steps to achievement:
Plan purposefully.
Prepare prayerfully.
Proceed positively.
Pursue persistently.

William A. Ward

Sometimes we lose our focus. We can be walking in love all day, going along fine, until someone comes along and offends us. As soon as we forget our focus of love, we stop making progress and come to a standstill, aggravated, upset, and offended.

Put the past in the past, and  look ahead with optimism.  Return anything you borrowed.  Make apologies where needed. Get your bills up to date. Send the card or gift you forgot to send. Make the phone call you need to make.

Taking care of these things cleans your mental slate and eliminates any regrets or resentments you may harbor.

What the mind can conceive and believe, and the heart desire, you can achieve.

Norman Vincent Peale

That is so true that we can lose our focus. It is a good reminder to put the past behind us and to live with optimism in the days ahead.

I've never failed at anything I believed I could do.
Jilda and I wrote a song one time called At 33. The last verse goes like this:

I could plainly see at 33
Life without hope is a tragedy
People stare at the stars and wish for the moon
They reach too high, the quit too soon
