Chapter 9, Page 3, Book 15

The only thing that you can carry with you on your travels is your heart. Fill your heart with good things and good things will follow you for the rest of your life.

September 3rd - lists of love

..September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather,
And autumn’s best of cheer.
Helen Hunt Jackson

It is back to school time and the store shelves are brimming with fresh new school supplies.  Bright colored pencils and erasers, notebooks and folders, new lunch boxes and backpacks with multiple zippered compartments.  These supplies signal a new beginning.

A new calendar and a backpack used to be on my shopping list every fall for each one of my children.  With 7 to buy for you can only imagine the list was unending.  But those days are over and done for me, so I’m making new lists and one of them includes a list of things you should carry with you every day.

Everyday Survival Kit

Band Aid
Chewing Gum
Candy kiss
Tea Bag

HERE'S WHY . . .

Toothpick -- to remind you to pick out the good qualities in others.

Rubberband -- to remind you to be flexible, things might not always go the way you want, but it will work out.

Band Aid -- to remind you to heal hurt feelings... yours or someone else's.

Pencil -- to remind you to list your blessings everyday.

Eraser -- to remind you that everyone makes mistakes, and its okay.

Chewing Gum-- to remind you to stick with it and you can accomplish anything.

Mint -- to remind you that you are worth a mint to your heavenly Father.

Candy Kiss -- to remind you that everyone needs a kiss or a hug everyday.

Tea Bag -- to remind you to relax daily and to think about God's Blessings.

Your bag is your constant companion and everyone has different needs.  You can learn a lot about someone depending on what's in their bag, or what they leave out.

The pictures are of just a few of my grands as they headed back to school carrying their backpacks.

Wishing you a day of love, gratitude, friends to cherish, caring, sharing, laughter, and warm feelings in your heart !

I always like pictures of other's grands. I know those kids think the world of you.
Love the list for the survival kit.
YEP back to school! Yellow buses flood the road. For the first time ever we have yellow buses on our street. The County connected our dead end street with another so we are no longer sorta private on the dead end street.

I sorta miss the 'NO TRAFFIC'. LOL

That is so cute with the survival kit; but lots of truth in what should be in our daily survival kit. Such great smiles of your grands as they go off to their new year of learning!
