Chapter 1, Page 8, Book 15

January 8th - Love is a verb. Take action.

After the verb to love – to help  is the most beautiful verb in the world.

Bertha von Suttner

True love goes way beyond simply having some good will toward others. True love takes action!  It isn’t just good feelings toward someone or something, it isn’t the love we feel for things or food or places. True love is action, true love takes courage and vulnerability. True love gives rather than takes

We shouldn't ever hold back or withdraw our love. Be grateful for all the people in the world who love you.  Acting lovingly entails habits like appreciating, caring, helping and sharing.

Here are some ways you can choose to love on a daily basis:
Let go of the little things. If you are truly honest, you’ll realize most of them are little things.

Give more than you take in your relationships.

 Love without strings attached.

 Communicate, communicate, communicate!

Before you blame, examine yourself first.

Let it be okay that you don’t see eye to eye on everything. Sometimes you just have to agree to disagree.

Be flexible . While consensus is always the goal, sometimes we have to bend to the other’s wishes.

Laugh.  A lot.

Apologize. And mean it.

 Forgive. And mean it.

Love yourself. You can’t decide to love another until you can decide to love yourself.

The more actions of love you do, the more loving you will feel.

Well done is better than well said.

Benjamin Franklin

I like that list of things we can choose for love on a daily basis; those are "manageable" and I am sure appreciated by those around us that we love. Indeed you are right, Ma, love is an action verb. It does take commitment and doing to make one feel loved and to love.

Good post. My gem?
Love without strings attached.

So many of us need to learn that . Your list is very good especially the apologizing and MEANING it.

I see you are as cold as the mts. of NC BRRRRRRR both places are too cold for me.

GREAT advice. Particularly the part where you say, "Let it be okay that you don’t see eye to eye on everything. Sometimes you just have to agree to disagree."
