Passion ignites love and keeps it alive. Lasting passion does not come through physical attraction alone, it comes from deep commitment, enthusiasm, interest and excitement. Passion can be recreated by recreating past experiences when you felt passionate. Spontaneity and surprises produce passion. The essence of love and happiness are the same; all we need to do is to live each day with passion.
Valentine’s Day isn’t just a celebration of romance. It is a celebration of love. And as a celebration of love, Valentine’s Day can and should include the entire family. It doesn't matter whether you are a single parent or part of a couple or a widow like me.
Did you know that in the late Middle Ages, there was a custom of wearing love knots on Saint Valentines's Day? They were golden pins shaped like sideways figure-8s, a symbol of infinity, to suggest that love is without end, eternal. The love knots were made of gold, which never tarnishes, never loses it perfection, and were given to one's sweetheart.
