Chapter 1, Page 21, Book 13

The problems of the world
cannot possibly be solved by skeptics or cynics
whose horizons are limited by the obvious realities.
We need men who can dream of things that never were
and ask why not?
John F. Kennedy

Here in the US, January 21st is the day we celebrate Martin Luther King Day.  He is most famous for his I HAVE A DREAM speech.  Brave men like him and many others like John Kennedy made a difference in so many lives because they dared to dream.  And they inspired many of us to have them too.

We've had the privilege to have had many such men throughout history.  Those that have gone before us, forging the way with truth and justice.  Those that made lives better for so many.  For those few brave men that cared so much we owe a debt of gratitude.

Right has ever fought against evil, and the wonderful thing is that it wins!  We may not be great men or women,  but every little step we take to make life better for others is worth it.

Mother Teresa said it well

Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love

Mother Teresa has left messages that will ring until the end of time...

I love a dreamer.

Of course the Mother was not just a dreamer, SHE WAS DOER of DREAMS.

I am remembering when JFK was inaugurated, 51 years ago today. We had a huge snowstorm and even my father got to be home. I still remember "Ask not.."

I like Mother Theresa's quote; we can do lots of small things to make this earth a better one to live on, at least our part of it we can influence.

I hope your day is a good one Ma!
