Chapter 1, Page 16, Book 13
Firelight will not let you read fine stories but it's warm and you won't see the dust on the floor.
Our weather man says that by the end of January we'll have gained a half hour of daylight. The days as dull and dreary as they may seem in winter are really getting longer. More daylight here at my house brings thoughts of Spring Cleaning.
It's true that during the short days of winter the dust has accumulated here and when the sun shines, I am seeing it all. It makes me want to clean and shine things up.
It is an amazing thing how light can put a whole new perspective on things. A candle glows and warms us, but the sunlight coming through the windows shows dust mites floating through the air.
Light and darkness have a great influence on the way we think and the things we do. The most brilliant way to live is to always look for the light.
