Love came down at Christmas,
Love all lovely, Love Divine;
Love was born at Christmas;
Star and angels gave the sign.
Christina Rossetti
Sunday, December 9th: LOVE
The theme of the second week of Advent is dedicated to love. Love permeates every aspect of the Christmas story.
Has there ever been a word that is as widely used but as badly understood? The problem with the word love is that we use it to describe our feelings about a great many things that really have nothing in common.
Absolute love does not come wrapped up in packages placed under a Christmas tree. Instead, it comes in the form of acts of selfless, earnest, heartfelt service offered up to one another with no expectation of anything in return.
May the spirit of Christmas bring you peace,
The gladness of Christmas give you hope,
The warmth of Christmas grant you love.

So true how we misuse love. We say we love pizza and then we say we love our spouses and children. So glad Jesus is a wonderful and best example of love!
