Chapter 12, Page 6, Book 12

Remember These Words

Don't let go of hope.
Hope gives you the strength to keep
going when you feel like giving up

Don't ever quit believing in yourself.
As long as you believe you can,
you will have a reason for trying.

Don't let anyone hold your
happiness in their hands;
hold it in yours, so it will always
be within you reach.

Don't measure success or failure by
material wealth, but by how you feel;
our feelings determine the richness
of our lives.

Don't let bad moments overcome you;
be patient, and they will pass.

Don't hesitate to reach out for help
we all need it from time to time.

Don't run away from love but towards
love, because it is our deepest joy.

Don't wait for what you want to come to
you; go after it with all that you are,
knowing that life will meet you halfway.

Don't feel like you've lost when plans
and dreams fall short of your hopes.

Anytime you learn something new about
yourself or about life, you have progressed.

Don't do anything that takes away from
your self-respect; feeling good about
yourself is essential to feeling good
about life

.Don't ever forget how to laugh or be
too proud to cry.
It is by doing both that we live
life to its fullest.

Thursday, December 6th:  HOPE

Hope does not disappoint

To accomplish great things in life, you need a future goal that is big enough to keep you motivated.  We call it hope.  We have confidence that God will give us the grace to persevere and to overcome obstacles in our life.

It seems that hope is in short supply and needs to be rebuilt. And that is what Advent is all about - a season to take seriously the plight of those who dwell in darkness, but also to awaken a longing and commitment to a better and different kind of world.There is hope to be found in this life.

Advent is very pertinent to the times in which we live, for we are in an age that trusts in itself and its own abilities.  Oftentimes, our view is not toward the kingdom above but the world below.  In many ways, we have lost our hunger for God, and feed off of the world instead.  But the hope of Advent is that Jesus has come and will come again

Christmas lights are nice, but it is we who are supposed to be the light of the world.

Some days it is very hard to keep Hope alive, but I try. God bless you.

One can always count on an upbeat entry here at MA's house, and hope you are well.
We are enjoying great weather...

I like your thought Ma that we are supposed to be the light of the world and it is up to us to get out the message of the hope we have not in this world, but definitely in Jesus and what lies ahead for all of eternity!
