Chapter 11, Page 7, Book 11

If you're happy and you know it,
Clap your hands
If you're happy and you know it,
Clap your hands
If you're happy and you know it,
Then your face will surely show it
If you're happy and you know it,
Clap your hands.

Sometimes, having someone there to encourage you makes all the difference. This is why sports teams like hearing their fans cheer, and why children like hearing their parents clap during a piano recital. Encouragement can help us to keep working at something even when it gets difficult.

Giving your support is a wonderful way to enhance the life of another, as well as your own.  When you give, you not only better the lives of those on the receiving end, you benefit as well.   Your heart feels warm and you create happiness for yourself and those around you.

Your happiness could be contagious.  Happiness is infectious and can ripple through society.  And in my opinion the happiness bug is one infection we should get often.

Most people operate under the illusion that once they get what they want they will be happy.  This is conditional happiness and it doesn’t last. It’s good for a few kicks and you can certainly ride it out for a celebratory dinner or so, but most likely you’ll be right back to where you were before. If you were unhappy, you’ll still be unhappy. It’s an easy trap to fall into and most of us do from one time to another.

No life is so hard that you can't make it easier by the way you take it

Ellen Glasgow

A positive attitude at any age is an important mindset.  We need to be cheerful, joyful and hopeful to live life happily and freely.

Simply knowing that that happiness rubs off is as good of a reason as any today to SMILE.

Today I'm thankful for all the SMILES I've received and I'm hoping to share a lot of them with others too.

Most people want to be happy.  Make others happy and they'll want to be around us.  Be upbeat and positive and this happiness will rub off onto others.  People remember how we make them feel, so make them feel happy and leave them with good memories.

SMILING is infectious,
You catch it like the flu
When someone SMILED at me today,
I started SMILING too
I passed around the corner and someone saw my Grin
When he SMILED, I realized I'd passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile, then realized its worth,
A single SMILE just like mine could travel 'round the earth.
So if you feel a SMILE begin, don't leave it undetected.

Have a MERRY Monday everyone!

It would be neat if we could get an outbreak of the happiness bug! I think this world would be a lot better place, especially if we realize happiness is not from getting lots of items but from within! Great thinking Ma! I know whatever you choose to do today, it will be a happy day for you!

Boy! Did you ever dredge up memories??? We sung that song in children's church so many time growing up. It always made us kids smile."If you are Happy!"

If you are happy, let your face know about it, was on of mama's standards.
Take care, beautiful down here today.

Changing the way we think about our happiness is key to putting that smile on our face and keeping it there. Attitude makes the difference. Love the way you described encouragement. Inspirational as always. Take care, MA.

John Denver always said if you think getting something will make you happy then once you have it you then have to look to getting the next thing because it does not work as we know to be true as we journey through life.
