Chapter 10, Page 12, Book 11

May you find serenity and tranquility in a world you may not always understand.

May the pain you have known and the conflict you have experienced give you the strength to walk through life facing each new situation with courage and optimism.

Always know that there are those whose love and understanding will always be there, even when you feel most alone.

May you discover enough goodness in others to believe in a world of peace.

May a kind word, a reassuring touch, and a warm smile be yours every day of your life, and may you give these gifts as well as receive them.

Remember the sunshine when the storm seems unending.

When I first started writing an on line journal I named it You Are My Sunshine.  When I transferred over to blogger when AOL did away with journals, I used this blog.  Still I often wish I'd kept the name.  You all really do brighten my days.

Sunshine is so important in our lives.  Both the sun overhead in the sky and the sunshine that people produce by just being nice.

While there have been no frosts yet, the days are getting noticeably shorter and nature is on a slow unwind. The seasons of autumn and winter are caused as the earth slowly tilts away from the sun, with resulting decreased light and colder temperatures. But even though the earth may tilt away for some months, the sun still has a huge impact to play.

Sometimes it’s a bummer when things change.  All you can think about is how good you had it and  how much fun you used to have. You look at the times you’re in now and they aren’t the same.  We need to remember that nothing stays the same forever, and that’s actually a good thing.

We all  need sunshine in our lives. There are plenty of things in our lives that block out the sunshine. Every person carries some sadness, problem, burden or worry. For others these can become a heavy load. It is hard to understand or make sense of why life can be so burdensome at times. But no matter what our story we need some ray of happiness or some uplifting moment in our lives each day.

It is up to us to make this happen no matter how tiny or insignificant it may be. If someone is incapable of doing this right now for themselves, then our gift to that person is to make it happen for them. It may be a smile, a prayer, a reassuring word, a phone call, a visit or whatever is good for us.

What will your ray of sunshine be today?

You are my SUNSHINE!

S M I L E !

Have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!

You could change your name back to You Are My Sunshine if you wanted to, Ma. I've changed names of things and it doesn't affect much (except your readers until they get used to the new name). I do agree we need to make our sunshine and make sure we don't block it out with the difficulties of life, which we will all have. Looking for that sunshine either through friends, activities we like to do, reading, etc is good to have available when we think we are in a gray cloudy day in our lives to bring that sunshine back in. My sunshine today, well, its supposed to be 93 degrees so that will provide outside sunshine.

Inside sun, spending time reading the Bible and thanking God for how great he is!

enjoy the day!

Ahhh Girl, you have a way of dredging up good memories. My sister, God Rest her Soul, used that a lot. She loved the Sunshine folks brought into her life, never thinking how much sunshine she provided.

You do have a way of letting the RAYS shine thru.
From Florida with love,

The name has signifigance to me too. Once upon a time I had a special music box that featured a little girl on a bicycle. It played "You Are My Sunshine." I loved it. You are so right about us all needing a glimmer of sunshine to lift us up each day. And helping others find it is a wonderful thing. One small gesture can make all the difference. May the sun shine down on you today, MA. You brighten up my days with your posts. Take care.
