Chapter 12, Page 9, Book 09

This is my daughters house all lit up for Christmas last year.

Ma’s Christmas tip for today:

Remember that peace on earth starts with peace in our homes and in our hearts.

Looking out at the snow always makes me feel peaceful and so do my wind chimes blowing about in the breeze.

We are so rarely at peace, in our world or in our hearts.

Yet peace is the normal we long for and work for and believe in with all we’ve got.
It is the wish that many of us exchange with handshakes and hugs

Peace be with you

Peace comes to most of us in random moments — a splendid sunset, a beautiful song or the stillness and silence of meditative prayer

Peace starts from within. And peace is spread through the simplest of acts — like an unexpected smile offered as a gift to friends and strangers in the everyday moments of our life. Peace is also contagious and we can spread it around.

Let's let peace have a chance in our own hearts. Day-to-day family life can be a battleground of its own, but it can also be a marvelous opportunity to practice peacemaking. Each of us can take every opportunity to be more loving to those who are close to us, as well as those we meet as we go through the day

During this time of our Advent journey we can create reconciliation and peace within our own souls by forgiving ourselves and others and by being open to God's love.

Wonderful post Pam. Yes, we all long for peace, permanent peace, an end to all war. But we have to be a peace with ourselves also. Oh just for a little of that snow, it would be magical.

Peace starts with Jesus :)

great post Pam!! I loved the picture of your daughter's house all decorated for the holiday (last year); so very festive (that seems to be my favorite holiday word this year :)

this was a very timely post Pam to start with peace within our homes; struggling with that these days but it has to start with me so I'll make the first move :)

I agree, peace starts with Jesus in our hearts. Although we often have fear, we truly can have peace that passes all understanding. Hugs..
