Chapter 2, Page 15, Book 09

By Author Unknown

Like a bread without the spreadin'.
Like a mattress without beddin',
Like a cart without a hoss,
Like a door without a latchstring,
Like a dry an' barren creed bed-
Is the face without a smile.
Like a house without a dooryard,
Like a clock without a mainspring,
That will never tell the hour;
A thing that sort o' makes yo' feel
A hunger all the while-
Oh, the saddest sight that ever was
Is a face without a smile!
The face of man was built for smiles,
An' thereby he is blest
Above the critters of the field,
The birds an' all the rest;
He's just a little lower
Than the angels in the skies,
An' the reason is that he can smile;
Therein his glory lies!
So smile an' don't forget to smile,
An' smile, an' smile ag'in'
Twill help you all along the way,
An' cheer you mile by mile;
An' so, whatever is your lot,
Jes' smile, an' smile, an' smile.

I've got dreams in hidden places and extra smiles for when I'm blue.

I’d say many of us have a good reason to smile today. After celebrating Valentines Day with family and friends, we feel pretty good this morning. Feeling good always leaves a SMILE on my face. I had a great time shopping with my daughter yesterday and found some great buys. I put some of the pictures on the side bar for you all to see.
Today I’m off to church as always and will get my weekly dose of R & R which makes me feel great and that also makes me smile. Hopefully tomorrow morning, when it’s cold and windy out as I leave for work, I’ll remember all these reasons and continue to smile.
Sometimes all it takes is one grouchy person to ruin our day, but we shouldn’t let others attitudes about life spoil ours. Sometimes too when life gets very sad or painful it’s very hard to SMILE. That is when we gather all the good influences in our life and remember so that we can be comforted and SMILE once again.
Here’s hoping I can smile my way into a great day, today and every day.
