Chapter 12, Page 20, Book 08

All Children Need Happy Christmas Memories

Memories are a special house
We build inside ourselves
Where love and laughter linger,
Where all our past live dwells.
Oh holidays like Christmas
We can draw upon the store,
Reliving happy times
And feeling all that warmth once more.
Wherever we may travel,
This house is always there
To help to blend the old and new,
To build on... grow... and share.
This house can never get too full,
Just grow from floor to floor;
Because the joy of memories
Is always making more.

About noon time today I’ll be joining my family (5 of my babes anyway and their families) at DS#5s house. A couple of years ago my children decided my house was too small for our Christmas gathering, So DS#5 volunteered his house. It has much larger rooms and more floor space. When you have grand’babes’, presents, and grand dogs too, you really do need more floor space.

It will be a fun time because the kids will make it fun. They always have lots of hugs and laughter to share. DD and her hubby came by last evening and gathered up my gifts and took them over so that today I wouldn’t have to load them up and tote them all. I really do have some great children that always try to make my life a little easier.

I had ordered a spiral sliced ham and a spiral sliced turkey breast for our dinner, but DS#5 didn’t seem to think they would be enough, so I also got a nice beef roast to round out the meal. This way there will be something for everyone’s taste. We’ll see…

I’ll be taking lots of pictures and will be sharing them between now and Christmas.
Today is what Christmas is all about – family, love, sharing and caring
