Chapter 11, Page 5, Book 08

You can dance anywhere, even if only in your heart.

Even if we are not dancers ourselves, most of us love to watch others dance — as confirmed by the great popularity of dance-related television shows. To move with grace and elegance to the music of life — what's not to like

I used to love to dance and enjoyed it to the fullest. The opportunities to go dancing just don’t present themselves much anymore. The kind of dancing I do these days is mostly in my heart. Things that just make my day and I feel like dancing. I’m happy and exuberant. Joyful and enthusiastic.

Today I’m thankful for all the things that make my heart dance:

A phone call or a visit from one of my ‘babes’

A letter or an e-mail or a telephone call from an old friend

The roses still blooming in my back yard

Sunshine on my shoulders

My little spot in the woods

A walk on the beach

Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short. The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask "How are you?"
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done,
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die'
Cause you never had time
To call and say "Hi"?

You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

I too love to dance but it has been a long time since I took to the floor. I usually dance in the bathroom in the morning we have a small radio there and if a tune takes me I jig around while getting dried. Have a good day Love Joan.

Dancing is just one of nature's little gifts...some just a little more "gifted". I love to watch "Dancing with the Stars" :)...

Dancing to me involves every part of myself - movement to music with my mind and body.

Being thankful for things is like always looking for a silver lining. It's not easy sometimes - like when Molly went blind. But - at least she won't jump on the kitchen counters again and risk breaking a leg jumping down.

I am proud of my wrinkles and my gray hairs. I earned every one of them, lol!

My mom loved to dance also, she went dancing every weekend until she passed away. I guess I got my love of dancing from her. I don't go out dancing much but I put my raido on and dance in my living room all the time!! Linda

That is so beautiful. I am going to make some phone calls today. There are several people I love and haven't spoken to in a long time because I was too busy. I don't want any more time to pass without saying "hi". Thank you for giving me the push I need. Have a wonderful day.

Ecclesiastes 3:4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance...
Now turn up the radio and shake your grove thing.... :)
Have a great day!!

great advice to slow down; I tell young moms to enjoy every single day with their babes and not to rush things along because it does go by so incredibly fast
