Chapter 11, Page 26, Book 08

Thanksgiving opens our hearts,
and it gives us a clearer vision of the God
who loves us and all others equally.
The realization of that love-
-and our acceptance of it-
-can be one of the most beautiful,
life-affirming elements of our lives.
From one of my daily meditations

It’s over the Hump Day and for me it means the end of this tragic week is getting closer. I do have some things to be thankful for even in the midst of the heartbreak that has occurred in my family.

I’m most thankful for the love and prayers of everyone around me.
I’m thankful that the good Lord saw fit to make it possible for my family to be together.

I’m thankful for my grandchildren’s smiles and happy faces.

Children truly have the right idea.

They tend to live in the moment,

which would be a grand thing all together for all of us.

Two types of voice command your attention today
Negative ones fill your mind with doubt, bitterness and fear

Positive ones purvey hope and strength
Which one will you choose to heed?

You have a choice you know.

We do not have Thanksgiving here as you know but I agree that we should be thankful every day for all the blessings we have, big or small. Hugs.

How true, those negative voices are always there trying to feed you with doubts. Have a positive day and know you are loved and cared for today.

sending you and your family a hug, Ma; you are certainly in my prayers and thoughts; I'll leave you with one of my life verses

Psalm 9:9-10 The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble, those who know your name will trust in you, for you Lord have never forsaken those who seek you.

I am so happy that you have your family all together. That love is never ending. I know you will be one less this holiday, but keep his spirit alive as I know he is smiling down on every one of you. Continued prayers for you and your family. Your faith in the Lord and your family will get you through this sadness.
My niece just lost her friend in a car accident two days ago. She was 16yo. The survivors of the car accident have been having a really hard time as are the families.
Take care of yourself, Chrissie

I just can't fathom that this has happened to your family and I am upset that I hadn't read your journal to know. I just feel so bad. I see you are getting thru and I know you are hurting inside. I am here if you need to talk or write.

It is hard I know to find things to be thankful for at this awful time but as you so rightly say we really do have much to be thankful for.
God Bless,
Much Love Sybil xx
