Chapter 11, Page 1, Book 08

Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough.
Oprah Winfrey

The Angel of November is the angel of humility. This autumn angel brings a special gift that helps deepen the meaning of the Thanksgiving season for ourselves and our loved ones.

November's angel urges us to acknowledge and appreciate the supporting roles others have played in our lives this year and even thank those who have taught us difficult lessons.

The angel of November leads us to give thanks in a new way by forgiving old hurts and healing broken relationships. Thus we help one another to be truly grateful for our relationships and the richness they bring to our lives.

GOOD MORNING !

It is now the time we’ve all waited for, especially me. I will get back that hour of sleep I lost last Spring when we had to set the clocks forward one hour.
I don’t really know if everyone had to do that but here in northern Ohio we did.

November brings all sorts of good things to mind . #1 is Turkey Day – Thanksgivng in the USA. This year our family has a special celebration in store. My Christmas gift to the ‘babe’s’ is a 2 night stay at theme Water Park /Resort on Thanksgiving weekend. Yes, they are all getting their Christmas gift from me early this year. All of my children will be together to celebrate and give thanks.

The only ones missing will be DS#2’s children who are too far away to come for the weekend. I will miss them for sure, but will take lots of pictures for them to see. We were fortunate to have them here in the summer so I’ll just have to be thankful for that. Being a long distance grand’ma’ is not easy.

So, I do have lots to be thankful for and even though I’ve had to give up my camping for this year, there is a lot yet to look forward to. The holidays are always a special time of year and with family all together, it becomes even more extraordinary

Now you know part of why I keep working. Giving to my family is my joy in life and I wouldn’t be able to do that if I retired.

Thanksgiving is all about togetherness, love, and sharing and giving thanks for our blessings. Strengthen the ties that bind you and your family and loved ones together !

THOUGHT FOR TODAY

In spring when maple buds are red,
We turn the clock an hour ahead;
Which means, each April that arrives,
We lose an hour out of our lives.
Who cares? When autumn birds in flocks
Fly southward, back we turn the clocks,
And so regain a lovely thing
That missing hour we lost in spring.
Phyllis McGinley, Daylight Savings Time

‘On Ya’-ma

November is I Am So Thankful Month,
dedicated to counting blessings and giving thanks daily

Such a lovely post. I think it's wonderful that you are treating your kids to such a nice holiday. You are right, families should be together on holidays. Enjoy your extra hour tomorrow morning.

what a wonderful gift to your family!! I bet they will enjoy their time together, having fun, enjoying each other's company!! that would be worth working for sure!!

(thanks for finding my new blog; there's a story behind it but I can't share it for a bit; I did delete the other one because someone called me hypocritical and prejudice; something I really try hard not to be; but I'm seeing that I think the Lord does want me to continue sharing him in this manner (journaling - but not with prejudice of course :)

enjoy Sunday!
